8. TUPELO
1500 Kearns Blvd  |  Park City

The biggest news in the local restaurant world in Park City is the re-opening of Tupelo in the former Adolph’s Restaurant space. We can't wait for this one! More info here.

Lovers of Thai Cuisine will welcome the fresh and unfussy offerings at Taste of Thai in Newpark Town Center at Redstone/Kimball Junction, right next to Best Buy. This casual family operated eatery serves lunch and dinner seven days a week with fresh ingredients, a wide selection of curries, and family friendly pricing.
12. BONNIE & CLYDE'S SANDWICH CO.

Another great new spot in town is Bonnie & Clyde’s Sandwich Co, off Bonanza Drive in the former Einstein Bagels space. We recommend the perfectly gooey grilled cheese or their Reuben, which is so huge it really should be shared! They offer a full menu of sandwiches and salads to please everyone in your group.

PARKING IN
COTTONWOOD CANYONS

If you’re going to venture over to Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons for skiing or riding, be aware of new parking rules. At Solitude, they’ve adopted a Tap N Ski paid parking system using QR codes, and paid parking is in effect seven days a week. Ikon pass holders might want to consider a full season parking pass. Brighton still offers plenty of free parking, but those wanting to avoid missing out on a spot might wish to consider a $25 reservation.
At Alta parking reservations are required from 8 am – 1 pm on weekends and holidays. The day rate is $25. Learn more here. For the 2021-22 winter season, Snowbird will offer a variety of ways to park including the ability to park in free lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternately you can pay for reserved daily parking in advance or purchase a Preferred Parking Pass. As local guidelines allow, Snowbird will renew its focus on encouraging and celebrating carpooling with expanded carpool parking areas. More info about Snowbird's parking policies can be found here.
OLYMPICS UPDATE

As a former host community for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, the excitement and stoke level for the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing is high, especially since this year marks the 20-year anniversary of Salt Lake City Olympics. For the first time, we’ll have streaming options for every event on Peacock (NBC's streaming service) for $4.99 a month. While NBC will broadcast the games per usual, Peacock will offer more options for viewers to watch their preferred sports. Competition coverage begins on February 2, with the opening ceremony on February 4, and the conclusion of the Games on February 20. More info here.
MASK MANDATE
THROUGH FEBRUARY

Last but not least, with Omicron cases of COVID surging of late, both Summit and Salt Lake Counties have reissued mask mandates. Summit County’s mask mandate requires masks in all indoor settings regardless of vaccination status. While the mandate could expire on January 31, check the Summit County website for updates.
