Midway Ice Castles
Typically, the Ice Castles open in late December or early January and remain open as long as weather allows.
The Midway Ice Castles will have you awestruck from the time you arrive up until the end of your visit. You’ll be entertained with a fire show where you’ll witness fire-breathing, spinning hula and more. You’ll see breathtaking ice castles that weigh about 25,000,000 pounds each! Book a table and usher in 2019 with your whole crew at the prestigious restaurant Riverhorse on Main. Seating starts at 7 pm and continues through the night for an exclusive five-course dinner. Groove to music by the high-energy party rock band Changing Lanes and ring in the new year with a champagne toast with your friends. Tickets including tax and gratuity are $435 per person.
Firewood 5-course Prix Fixe
The sumptuous fare at Firewood — all of which is prepared over an open wood-fire — is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. The New Year’s Eve’s five-course prix fixe dinner will also include a champagne cocktail and live music from local vocalist and pianist Robyn Cage in the Nickel Bar. Four seatings are available, at 5:30, 6, 8:30 and 9 p.m. Please note, there is a $50 charge for cancellations within 48 hours of your seating.
Powder at Waldorf Astoria

Powder’s famed New Year’s Eve celebration opens with caviar blini and oyster, followed by a choice of yellowfin tuna and scallop tartare or beets and goat cheese. Enjoy porcini mushroom consommé and a champagne intermezzo, then an entrée of either venison and veal loin or Chilean sea bass, followed by New Year’s Surprise for dessert featuring Tahitian vanilla, fromage blanc and raspberries.
Escala Provisions Restaurant
Hyatt Centric Park City | $65/person
Escala brings classic fare to diners on New Year’s Eve. The dinner will feature selections such as mustard-crusted prime rib, cranberry glazed ham, Mary’s chicken with a sour cherry reduction, and herb-crusted salmon, plus an array of sides and starters. The dinner also features special desserts including chocolate fondue and fig-bread pudding with eggnog sauce.
Grub Steak 3-course Prix Fixe
Grub Steak let’s you choose from salad, soup or the salad bar, followed by surf-and-turf featuring beef tenderloin wrapped in apple-wood smoked bacon with roasted shallots and Maine lobster tail. Dessert is a delicious chocolate lava cake with Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.
